“Keeping The Vision Alive”
A few years ago, the twirling world lost a very dear friend, colleague, coach and mentor. Stacy Forbess, of Fairhope, Alabama, was a beloved mentor and coach to over 1,000 athletes who went through her Eastern Shore Twirler programs in both competition teams, and elementary and middle school teams, over the past two decades. Her dream was for her students to go on to twirl in High School, as well as, college, and many of them did… Florida State University, Georgia Institute of Technology, Baylor University, Troy University, and the University of Southern Mississippi, to name a few.
Stacy began her twirling career in Southern California… We honor her with pride today, and hope to keep her vision alive by presenting “The Stacy Forbess Memorial Scholarship” to the Surfrider High School Open Advanced and Collegiate Freestyle winners.
